Four Blocks
is a multimethod, multilevel literacy framework developed by Pat
Cunningham and Dottie Hall of Wake Forest University and utilized by
thousands elementary classrooms.
This overview PowerPoint
slide show was presented to the parents of Lafayette Primary Center students during
the Open House on Tuesday, September 22, 1998. It provides an excellent
summary of the 4 Blocks Literacy framework and an explanation of some of the
things parents can do to enhance their child's success in reading and writing.
